Re: would you let your fiance have your ATM code? [Re: Anonymous #13]

My girl knows my atm code, my friends do, (pick me up some beer, etc), even my coworkers do(lunch n shit).

None of them have my atm card, I do.  What is there to worry about?  they can steal it, yes, but they can steal my cash too:shrug:.

if you dont trust your fiance with your atm number then youve got some fucked up trust issues which you need to resolve BEFORE you get married.

Not true at all.  Combing funds is a sign of commitment and mutual support.  Marriages with separate funds are a joke.  So one person goes broke and the other has savings?  Why would you keep your money from someone you devote your heart and soul too?  You should be willing to sacrifice your life for your spouse, but they cant access your funds?  Give me a break.  Keeping funds separate will crumble a marriage.

I am not saying keep all the funds separate. set up a joint account that you each put whatever amount
of money in to pay the bills, the mortgage, and savings.
But keep the disposable income separate.

I would be pissed if my girl took my ATM card to the malls and bought a bunch of clothes and accent furniture for herself.

Never under any circumstance.
I'd make her sign a prenuptial agreement too.

If you want me to buy you something hint at it, dont take my card and buy it.

I'd give my boyfriend my ATM code. And I'd know he wouldn't take any of my money. If you can't trust someone enough to know they won't steal from you, you shouldn't even live together, let alone get married.

rule number one is you can NEVER trust anybody. ever. give someone your trust is just asking to get burned.

Been there, done that, will never do it again. Once he's willing to slap a ring on my finger, walk down the aisle, and sign the papers, then I will.

The only problem is, I will never agree to get married.
