Bloody Mary mix.
    #11247047 -

I love bloody marys, and while sipping on mine i was wondering, how does the shroomery make their bloody marys?

If im lazy ill get premade, but spice it up a lot. Most times though i make my own.

2 - 2 1/2 shots of kettle one, 2 cups V8, a teaspoon of tobasco, Worcestershire, horseradish, dashes of cayenne, garlic, black pepper, and garnish with cellery, green olives, and greek pepper.

MMMMMM, it like a meal in a glass. :aweoverdose:

And every time i have one i think of this one time with my sister.

Me and my sis were in a grocery store looking for a certain kind of bloody mary mix called Mjr. Peter's for my brother in law.

We had some other things to get so we decided to pay, and head to the liquor store. While we were paying, she asked the teller, who was a 16-18 yr old girl, "I was trying to find some Major Peter's, but wasn't able to, do you have any major peter's? I really need some for tonight."

I have never wanted a camera so bad in my life at that moment, the poor girl just froze, wide eyed, mouth agape, and my sister became puzzled. The teller just stayed silent gave us the receipt and we left.

Walking to the car my sister asked why i thought the teller was acting so strange, i had to tell her to repeat the question in her head slowly.

She finnaly realized what she said, and man i have never laughed so hard. :lmafo:

Oh everyone had a real good time that night, and my sister has yet to live that one down.

And yes.....she is blond.

Evidently bloody marys are not too popular here.

Kinda surprised...

I've never had a Bloody Mary. I'm all about Mimosas.

And I don't get your "Major Peter's" joke. Elaborate.

I love bloody marys, I like to make them with Absolut Peppar.

I have never made the mix myself, but it is something I would sure like to do.  You use V8 vegetable juice instead of tomato? hmm...  And what is greek pepper?

Im gonna have to remember to get some fixin's and experiment with my own mix.

I make bloodies all the time!  Perfect 'breakfast' drink!

My recipe doesn't have any measurements, its a shake of this and a dash of that till it tastes right, but here are my ingredients:

Tomato Juice
Svedka
Celery Salt
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Tony's Cajun Powder
Black pepper
Tabasco
Sriracha chili sauce
Dill Pickle juice
A Dill pickle
Celery Stalk if I've got em

I usually make em in a quart mason jar, fill about 1/3 with vodka, then the rest with tomato juice and throw in the extras from there.

Major peter as in, a large cock.

Way funnier in person i suppose.

I find V8 to be a bit thicker than normal tomato juice, but then again i cant say i have used plain tomato juice.

Greek pepper

Ahhh, I call those peperoncinis.  I love them on sandwiches.  Do you mince them up and put them in or just garnish the side with them like a celery?

I dunno if you can get them outside of Wisconsin, but Milwaukee's Best Kosher Dill Pickles are the best on the planet.

And bloodies gotta be SPICY!

That greek pepper looks a lot like a banana pepper...are they different?

Spicy = key.

i wonder if that red cock sause would go well with one....

I tend to just the peppers as a garnish.

I stick a pepper, green olive and if i have them a mushroom on a tooth pick, and toss it in.

Gulp and a bite. :drooling:

And i do believe the greek pepper, peperonicini, and banana peppers are all the same.

Major Peters is a pretty good pre-mixed. I've been spoiled lately.... found a great little cafe that makes the BEST from scratch bloody marys. Big glasses, too  :-)

Anyone ever made them with Clamato juice instead of tomato or V8. It kicks ass.
And I love the recipe's above. the best bloody mary's I ever had were in a bar in Wisconsin.

I'm very skeptical.

Tomato juice sounds digusting to start with... but with spicey sauces and peppers and random shit? + vodka?

I dunno guys. I know it's a very popular cocktail all around the world so maybe there is something to it, but this sounds disgusting :vaped:

You think I could make a good quality one straight up at home? no experience? You only live once
