I fail to see what is so controversial about what he said.  It's basically common sense that being there for your kids will tend to be better for them than being absent.  The only thing I find offensive here is the idea that people would find this controversial.  The point should be obvious enough not to require comment.

Fair enough, but I don't consider the role of the President to include 'family advice'. I mean, he is commander in chief, not a family counsellor.

I think he is trying to reinforce his 'Loving Father (of the Nation)' image. Its quite sickening actually. Next we will all be calling him 'Dear Leader'.

I think this is actually the scariest piece of propaganda thus far.

I don't think a bunch of jackoff actors and actresses who think their opinion matters in a stupid cliche commercial piece are very scary. There are plenty of things to criticize Obama on, but I don't know if asking fathers across the nation to be more involved is one of them. I think Obama is pretty far from his organized take over of America :lol:

i just think his choice of words couldve been better. his message isnt a bad one. fathers definately need to spend at least a few HOURS with their kids a day, not a few minutes.

Like I said, it's scary because they in turn influence other people. The fatherhood thing wasn't a big deal TBQH, but it was silly and unnecessary.
