Anyone finished downloading that .mpeg torrent yet?

If the audio is clean we can rip that off and cut it into tracks, get it circulating... I've still got ~2 hours to go before it's done :thumbdown:

I got the file--it will only play in windows media player (winamp, quicktime, realplayer didn't like it) and even in media player, only audio, and it stalls when I try to advance it.  Also, I think the audio might be all chopped up like the webcast, but its hard to tell because the file is screwy anyway.

So hopefully it'll be up on archive, problem is archive is down right now! 

Anyone else get better results?  I want to hear The Other One so bad!

nice... I'd still like a soundboard cause I never like how phil's bass sounds through a mic--nevertheless, this will do for now :smile: 

They really sound great.  This lineup's got the magic, I really really wish they would tour.

You don't know the GD obviously. They were a premier American band. Only in the USA could we be allowed to soar like we used to soar at GD shows. Lesh dropping liquid onto groupies' tongues through the fence, acid dealers so high they'd be giving it away from their Tic Tac dispensers.

Obama appeals to the young or he should. If you are apolitical like me and others, fine, but for crying out loud vote. If not it just shows how helpless and alienated you are, inside and out. Do what you can do. Hey, Obama flirted bigtime with my Lady at a rally in Miami and I'm still pleased to vote him.

the dead are one of the most american bands imo. what they were born out of, their songs, their ideas, and just the fact that they showed that a carnival like that could run for so long, could only be in america.

and as far as lsd goes, i think their set structure/song structure would much be lacking in their jams if it wasn't for the early lsd use. i think they started busting out those jams only after experimentation and continued doing so because they discovered they loved that side of music.

but i mean, of course they transcended both of those ideas, but they were big fundemental roots

i think about the dead in terms of americana all the time

imo nothing is more american

but still it goes deeper than just silly lines in the sand
