At what age did your acne start going away?

Hate this shit. One week it's clear as possible, the next it's not.

I'm 19, when is this gonna stop? I take care of my face, but it's still annoying. Any tips for oily skin?

mm around 17-18. I only get shit going on if I do not wash my face for like 3 days which usually doesn't happen. I have not had a proper pimple since around 17 some time, (I am 22 now)

what is your diet? Do you exercise? There are important. You are what you eat, and do.

How much caffeine do you consume?

don't stress about it (that releases hormones that gives you more acne) also use a brownsugar and olive oil blend to exfoliate your face (the olive oil actually removes your skins naturall oil) and lay off the greasy foods. and if you wear hats alot make sure to wash them regularly. and your pillowcases. that all worked for me.

I have oily skin, and when I wash my face, I only use water, no soap. In the evenings, I use a wash cloth to exfoliate my skin, and if I was being real rowdy, I'll use a mild soap.

I used to "take care of my skin" too, and I found that using all those harsh chemicals and changing soaps all the time, was only making my skin... the same. So I stopped listening to everybody on what the fuck to do (because they had acne as well.)

It dawned on me that acne may be genetic, so when someone with clear skin is like "oh i use product xyz, and it works great!" It doesn't really matter, because they may always have had clear skin.

Also, RELAX. just chilling out helps clear your skin.

it takes some time homey. diet is a huge factor. that helps from the inside. a hairdresser told me to keep my hair short and keep it clean, this bit did help some. this may sound dumb, but try a dermotologist. personally i think doctors are full of shit sideways

It was also 17-18 for me I think. I had just started to use jojoba oil as a new treatment... not sure if it was the new treatment or just timing but my acne went away. I know its weird to think that an oil could help, but its worth trying. I'm not altogether convinced that the oil was the only reason my acne got better, though. I think it was also timing, and plus i also finally just stopped stressing about it. Some combination of those 3 things happened and the result was my acne got better around that time. I hope things work out for you.

Yeah I exercise, don't clean w/ anything but water or very mild soap and that usually does the trick. Not touching my face, too, was a key factor. But it just comes back eventually :frown:

But, I don't eat healthy. I'm a pretty heavy caffeine user. Heh.

I never really had acne problems, though. Just a few zits and pimples. I still get them, but only around my temples, forehead, and beard. I wash my face often, but I live in TX and I sweat.

Obsessing about acne always made it worse for me. I quit scrubbing my face, quit getting acne. Now I only wash my face if I've been drenched in sweat.

Key, I said, "Fuck it all," and stopped worrying about it. My face seemed to react accordingly. I think the natural oils help to keep my skin clean. Washing my face all the time seemed to irritate it, or at least there was a correlation of washing the oil off my face every chance I got, and continued problems. If I don't rub my face all day long, wash it obsessively, things don't act up. Oh, and don't believe any of that bullshit they pedal on TV. As soon as the kids face clears up he goes from some moody loser to having all the girls, complete bullshit, mind control. :mad2:

best advice > Drink lots of water! and use a QUALITY face fash (wont dry out too much)

I use neutrogena power-foam wash.... works GREAT!!!!

I think I get acne around my temples and forehead from wiping the sweat away.

May sound dumb, but shaving every other day and using a good aftershave cream always helped my face look and feel better.

hair gels can plug ur pours , so be careful when applying.. I used to get big zits around my temple and forehead too.

Diet is a large part of your physiology. When I started eating healthy lots of things changed including the condition of my skin and hair. Also, I have a hunch if you cut back on caffeine as well it wold help, that and many things.
