placement of monotub holes

I have 64 qt tubs. i plan on using about 3-4 inchs of substrate. (does that sound right?)

so i would wanna make my holes at 4.5inch or 5inch?

and than two toward the top on the side of the tub?

make the bottom of the holes just above the planned depth of your substrate level.  it will help with the CO2 evacuation/fresh air exchange when it comes time for fruiting.

hot air rises, so you will probably want a few holes towards the top also to prevent heat buildup (warmer temps promote contam growth)

its just a balancing game as far as the number of holes go... FAE/humidity/temp..
