Coolmist - placement of holes for maximum humidity

Okay i got my two 3/4" holes in my Vicks Coolmister with connectors sealed in them. These holes are right beside the original output vent (which is now chaulked). I'm wondering if i should have put my holes down lower on the "non-blue" part of the mister. I have humidity coming out but i'm always second guessing myself when it comes to efficiency..
