A/B is good to get a full yeild out of a kilo or more. STB only seems good for up to a pound. The reason behind the A/B is so you are working with only liquid when basifying and doing naphtha pulls. Alot of magic is lost when doing big STB batches simply because the bulk bark matter doesnt release everything into the naphtha.For a while SWIM said that the STB worked fine for QP batches until it got to be 110 degrees outside. This encourages fatty material to be absorbed by the naphtha even after doing a naphtha defat of the bark. You could always recrystalize but SWIM wasnt satisfied.

The reason why you use twice as much lye for powdered bark is because you need to use twice as much water to make it a runny consistency. This produces very fast results since the bark has more exposed surface area. It always produced yellow tinted spice through evaporation. Yellow might taste worse but there is something in it that makes the trip linger for a while. The white color is shockingly strong and heady. Orange feels like psychedelic morphine and produces major couchlock. No one can say why with certainty but it is far from placebo. The whole circle commented on how different each was.

Thanks a bunch man, I normally do 250g batches so it really hasn't been a problem with too big of a batch. I can understand though how just working with the basified liquid containing DMT would be a lot easier and better for bigger loads then working with the bark in the water. Maybe I'll just do an A/B next time and do the whole Kilo at once, it would make it easier than doing STB 4 times, even if the A/B takes longer. Now I just need a crock pot I think. Which A/B do you use? I have citric and fumaric acid, I guess the fumaric is the way to go if I don't have HCL, right?

edit- yellow spice with shrooms is a very nice combo. I definitely like to have both yellow and white spice around, along with the DMT N-oxide (the orange spice), as you said, all different effects.

Follow this tek. You will not regret it.

I read through a shitload of teks before I went through with an extraction and this one was the most straightforward yet sophisticated enough to yield decent product. Don't cheap yourself out with lazyman's tek or some crap like that.

It's not hard at all. However, I do suggest that you read over every tek you can find and cross reference them so that you can have a good understanding of WHY you are performing each step you perform.

It's not necessary to have a chemistry background. But for example you should understand things like why you're adding naphtha to a basified solution, and why the spice ends up in the naphtha. Don't be a dumbass and do it right. You will be rewarded for your research.
