Jars after pressure cooking
    #11106581 -

Hey guys im new to the world of mycolgy.
Of coarse im starting out with the pf tech method.
One question I do have is after i pressure cooked the jars and let them cool off overnight, I preceeded with the inoculation process, and of course they have been stored now for a week and Im just now starting to see mycelium, but what concerns me is that theres some type
whiteish/fog on the outside of the jars.It rubs off with my thumbs.

Is this from my tap water that I used to pressure cook and its some type of chlorine build up? Is still safe to move on?

Peace

Has it been there all along, or did it grow there?

Add a tbsp of vinegar to the water when you run each cycle to avoid this

that is just minerals from the water. no worries. it just tells that you didnt wipe your jars with alchol before you did work.

i always have that...you can either rub it off with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol or add vinigar to the pressure cooker water..but it makes it smell like shit in your kitchen
