I basically wrote this down as a catharsis. These thoughts have been running through my head all night, and I just had to pin them down in writing. Now I have the urge to actually send it. I feel like it needs to be said, but I'm pretty hung over and angry right now, so I'm appealing to the pub for advice...

The thing is that we are part of a REALLY REALLY tight clique. Not hanging out with her/ignoring her would essentially amount to me not hanging out with my best friends. Not really an option.

I'm upset that this whole thing between us didn't work out, and I still care for her, I just don't need her trying to climb all over my dick when we don't want the same thing. I want to make love with her, she wants to have meaningless drunken sex with... whoever.

You have to understand, we've been friends for so long. Extracting her from my life isn't an option, nor would I want to. I just want her behavior to reflect her intentions. If she wants to be friends with me, she needs to act like a friend. If she wants to be my lover, I expect a little respect from her. When it's me, her, and some other dude who nobody is familiar with, alone in her house, and she leads this other dude by the hand right past me into her bedroom and closes the door, I take that as a slap in the face, especially since last weekend she was begging to fuck me.
