Quick question on bulk popcorn tek...

Just wanted to clairify... the tek says just a filter and the metal band on the jars? I was doing the PF tek before and just put 2 holes in the metal lid with some micropore tape... I am guessing that will not work with the popcorn tek?
If not, I will just use some tyvek double layered and the metal lid. I just wanted to double check before I PC my jars.

Filter is required for grains, yes. Before you were using a dry verm layer as a filter.

Actually... before i never had a dry verm layer... just 2 holes in the metal lids with micropore tape...
Anyway, so I dont need the metal lids that come with the jars anymore? Just some tyvek and the metal bands to seal it down right?

If I don't have any tyvek or filters... is there anything else I could use? I forgot to go buy tyvek today so yea, my popcorn is simmering away on the stove now...

Yea, I know where to get the stuff... Its just right now, its sunday... everything is closed. If I put some big holes in the lid and use micropore tape, will that work?

never used the stuff so i cant say for sure but it might. i have seen people use verm on grain and just not shake it. im sure someone who has used the stuff will come allong and help better than me

So, Im gonna try to drill 4 3/8ths holes in the lid.... cover it with micropore tape... PC with a layer of foil over it... Hopefully this works

Ok, so last night I PC'd my jars. 3 with 4 3/8 holes covered in 2 layers of micropore tape and 2 with one hole right in the middle with 2 layers of micropore tape. Today I will be knocking them up.
Here's hoping this works.
