Has anyone ever watched the Jonathan Miller series, A Brief History of Disbelief?

why there is reality and patterned, law-like consistency at all, rather than noise or non-reality is not a question physics answers. It's a question physics presupposes an answer to in order to provide other answers.

Much of it is a historical view of the origin and evolution of atheism, going from the Greek philosophers to the Dark Ages, Deism, Thomas Paine, Darwin, Freud, and many others, along with commentary on the modern world spread throughout. Miller shows that the atheist philosophy was developed not by God hating people, but by people who simply didn't see the logic of it, Not just among the notables of history, but in much of society. Not spoken about in public, yet spoken about privately among the few.
