Freedom Man
    #11034229 -

Lyrics to Universal Mind
I was doing time in the universal mind.
I was feeling fine.
I was turning keys, I was setting people free.
I was doing all right.
Chorus: Then you came along
With a suitcase and a song,
Turned my head around.
Now I'm so alone
Just looking for a home
In every face I see.
I'm the freedom man
That's how lucky I am.

I think this is a mighty song. I think it accurately discribes the human experience for the awakened human.

It starts off with the full programming and shields in place. (feeling fine in the universal mind)

Then it moves to the belief that one holds the answers to salvation and the willingness to share these answers with humanity. (I was turning keys, I was setting people free.
I was doing all right.)

Then comes the realization (if you are courageous or just plain unlucky) that one holds no answers and there is nothing but death and chaos. (Then you came along
With a suitcase and a song,
Turned my head around.)

So one looks for someone or something who knows the answers or the way out.(Now I'm so alone
Just looking for a home
In every face I see.)

This last line is purely cynical, he's mocking his search, he was expecting sucess and instead found a prison and realized the frightening nature of his real freedom (the freedom of awareness) and consequent aloneness. (He's lost his shields) It's the realization of our true state with the acceptance of the fulitiy of escape. Fully aware of our plight and the hopelessness of "salvation". (I'm the freedom man
That's how lucky I am.)

Now Jim Morrison certainly had his asshole side and maybe was unskillful in his life, but IMO he was awake.

Agree, or not?

Deepest most awake lyrics I've ever heard.

Chester P - Wickerman Theory

I’m the space man cowboy psychedelic psychic Paranoid schizoid counting all my vices and fighting all my blessings I’m caught up in a crisis

Although my sleeps deathless days seem lifeless
Scream at existence it answers with silence
Silence to questions without bursting violence
I’m lost in the maze where I found my reality
I triumph on self-defeat I beat myself gradually
I drove myself mad searching for sanity
I lost my way home while exploring the galaxies
I’m fuelling these fires that burn my mentality
My muse is abuse on the long road of tragedies
I drown in the depths of my bitter self-knowledge
Used all my bravery trying to have courage
I seek for forgiveness but beg to be punished
I fight for my freedom while chained to these gutters
I find all my comforts in deep insecurities
Boy it was beautiful looking for impurities
I’m buried in the lier trying to live my life truthfully
I sail my ship alone and I’m still having mutinies
Wearing a disguise hiding from the phonies
Hiding from myself but I’m scared of being lonely
My works like a cell god created just to hold me
Life’s like a game where my death is the trophy

I’m the space man cowboy psychedelic psychic Paranoid schizoid counting all  my vices and fighting all my blessings I’m caught up in a crisis

Although I keep aging memories are timeless
I drink to forget an empty bottles my reminder
I live to the wisdom die trying to hide from it
My theories are terminal my lifestyles survivalist
I’m weary of science a slave to the scientists
I dig my own grave but too afraid too lie in it
Straight from the snake pit into the lions den
Fighting the beast cuz it wont let the violence end
Searching for peace in a war torn environment
Holding the torch that no one’s ignited yet
Walking into darkness scared cuz I’m fearless
Fighting with the demons even though they ain’t appeared yet
Trying to see it clearly when I’ve never got a clear head
So far from living yet I’m so scared to greet death
Sure that I’ll drown with this strange urge to seek depth
Wisdoms invisible, I’m still trying to see sense
Trapped in procedures we take to gain freedom
Searching for strength yet way beyond healing
Searching for love even though I can’t percieve it
Preaching the truth unsure if i believe it

For sure, even those moments often have an edge to them.
