hey whats is the best radio station out there?

ones I can find on the computer or as I am driving through a local?  The ones sure to be trying their damned best to turn your brain to sound syrup.

Can be commercial, college or whatever.

NPR, simply the best.
Between Diane Rheme (spelling?), Fresh Air, Science Fridays and basically no commercials.

I will also listen to conservative talk radio to :rofl:

It is extremely entertaining.

I agree,

NPR has my ear fo sho all night long and Sundays afternoons and Saturdays.

Talk radio stopped being so interesting when I was released from the clang clang.

what I am looking for is cutting edge radio stations that will drench me in new and old great music. I like mash ups, can't find in mash ups here.  I like reggae, no reggae here.  I simply love Americana, outlaw country and things of a simlar vein. We get a some a that here. See, i am trying to broaden my access to non pop music.  Plus, if we could build a demand for real music on tjhe radio we wouldn't be inundated with music that turns you brains to sob syrup. I wan't some funk, some psychoticlovebumpschool, shit like that, then in the same segment, very next song I can here Jonny Cash cover Bob's redemption song.

It depends on what you like..

If you like classic rock, 106.5 is your station. Tons of classic rock mostly 70s with a lot of 80s.

Plus everyday they have a specific time they play Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (not that they don't play them anyway)

Also just noticed a few days ago that the dude says something like "4:20, time to take a smoke break" heh kinda funny because my dad is ultra conservative and one time we heard him say that and my dad didnt get it....and its funny because this station is pretty conservative.....

Idk where Im going with this or what im saying.

south florida is cool, 106.5 kept me rockin for a time while I was on  sojourn there. Were they the ones with that sunday programme in the deep end.  They used to brng out some real obsucre adn awesome cuts out.  First time I ever heard rory sing I am a million miles away.  Blew my fucking mind while I was lying there in prison. really resonated, kept me sane that programme did, and then after it they would wo little steves underground garage.  Heard some pretty cool stuff there too.
