acetic acid solution of psilocybin - how to consum

Hey everybody. I have a friend who was intending to make psilocybin powder, but he seems to be chickening out on the whole home-made NaOH addition through drano :wink: Is there a way he can prepare it from its current form in acetic acid solution so as to make it palatable? He said he tried to drink it and that he refuses to drink it as is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi, could u post a link to the tek you are following.

ive never heard of using acetic acid to create shroom powder.....acetic acid is vinegar is it not?.

Ahh. Sorry I wasn't clear enough. My friend was using a regular rice flour cake with vermiculite to grow shrooms. However, a few days from full colonization, he is getting fairly impatient. I told him about extracting psilocybin/psilocin from straight mycelia using acetic acid as the solvent, so he did it. However, it seems that the psilocybin isn't following the normal acid/base extraction route too well, because he can't seem to get a precipitate when adding sodium hydroxide. Perhaps the solubility constants aren't terribly different for the acid/base salts? Anyways, he's trying to figure out another way to get it out of there or drink it short of boiling off all the water. Right now he's trying to boil it down low enough that the entire thing can be drunk in a shot (he already fully neutralized, so no worries about corrosive effects). He also poured a ton of brown sugar in there, hoping it will mask the taste. I'm not sure if it'll work, but, uh, well... Hopefully he won't throw up. I was (and am) trying to figure out another way to get the psilocybin out in pure crystal form so he doesn't have to drink it, but i'm not having too much luck. Anyone have any idea what he might coat his mouth with so he can't taste for several seconds? That might be enough to help him out :wink: Thanks again!

I didnt think that mycelium had enough psilocybin to even bother with it would probably just be a waste. The best thing is patience, just chill out and wait instead of trying to tripp as soon as possible. I know what its like i was once like your friend to but i have learnt it is alot more easy to be patient and rewarding.
