DMT Extraction > Psilocybin

Does anyone know if you can use the extraction used to take DMT from a plant source (ie acid-base extraction) will work with Psilocybin since they are so close in chemical nature? I have a couple cakes that I am unable to let fruit right now, and I would rather try this extraction if i know it will work (although the yields may be low...and hard to see seeing as its only like 4-5mg per dose). If not, how hard of a trip would three unfruited half-pint (appx 2/3verm 1/3brf) jars of p. cubenisis result in if i just make cranberry juice with the jars blended up and soaked? Thanks

I don't know if the extraction works. and I think extraction takes a LOT of time, so better soak em in the juice. Hope it works, let us know!

the hydroxy or phosphryloxy group at the 4 position of the indole ring makes the psilocin & psilocybin molecules quite different to extract compared to the dmt molecule...
for lab-type extraction techs, go to rhodium's chem page ( i think it is www.rhodium.ws ) and poke around...
otherwise, carefully dry the fungal biomass (preferably at low heat under vacuum) and extract with dry methanol, evaporate under vacuum to get solid residue...)

I believe that best results were seen when using Acetic acid, forgot if a concentration was given. But ya goto Rhodium, they have a great extraction
