Source for hemp nuts

I used to buy hemp nuts at galaxy global eatery for 6 dollars a pound.:thumbup:

But they seem to have gone out of business.:thumbdown:

I'm looking around and can't find anything close to that price.

Does anyone know of a website, or other means of buying hemp nuts at a reasonable price?

Globalhemp.com sells hulled seeds, $51 for 5 lbs.

I'll keep looking around.

purehealingfoods.com sells them $47 for 5 lbs.

I highly recommend this site. They seem really together and "down for the cause" and have great products. I ordered 40lbs or hulled hemp seeds and got a large bottle of cold pressed organic hemp oil included for free. Quick customer service too...

I am super impressed and looking forward to ordering a larger variety of products from them next time. Good bulk prices too. $6something/lb for non organic, + 1.50$approx for organic, wholesale.

I emailed them regarding smaller quantities and recieved this reply in part:

"Yes, we do sell five pound pails of conventional nut for $45.00 or Organic 59.40$ US 20 pound cartons for $140.40 organic or $99.00 conventional"

Which comes to $7 per pound for 20 lbs. organic. $5 for non-organic.

In a 5lb pail, purehealingfoods is a better deal since S&H to me would only be $5. I'll have to think about it. Hemp nuts have a high oil content and store well frozen, but 20lbs is still a lot. Hemp nuts do go good in just about anything though.

Are you eating that whole 40 lbs?

No, i split the 40lbs with a friend, and i go through a pound about every 10-20 days, depending on my mornings. I eat between 2-5 tablespoons of them in my oatmeal every morning, but if i have too many i have to shit, which isn't a problem unless i am in a rush.

I just keep them in a cooler in the basement, wrapped in plastic bag, and they are vaccuum sealed (although the seal on mine wasn't secure..)

I am sure they'll be fine overtime kept away from heat/air/light but a freezer would be best, forsure.

I was paying $15 a lb at the health food store, and it seemed like i was running there every week for christ sakes. Finally i had enough + went bulk, and now i dont feel like i need to save them.
