Little ID help please
    #10805803 -

Pics first, my initial guess was an amanita

Habitat:
Sow this behind my house growing from a dusting of tree ... stuff,  Not sure of tree type could be ceder, has little pine cones about 1 cm long
Gills:
light gills, now tan but very old/dried and possibly rotten.

Stem:
apx 2", light with very definite veil, large bulb at base

Cap:
roughly 3" diameter, tan with dark brown scale like patches.

Spore print color:
too far deteriorated for print

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.none,

smells like it's probably rotting or beginning to rot. was initially mistaken for a pine cone due to scales on cap and color

Yeah, is nasty, won't even bring it in the house, it's the not knowing that's driving me nuts. Believe me, there's nothing in the world that could make me even consider wanting to what that thing. I just can't stand not knowing what it is, and it's the only one back there for now.

Dunno about the shroom, but the only little pinecones that I know if in this area are from Alder trees.
Something like this?

Edit: Nevermind, I just looked at your last picture.  The "needles" are from cedar..The little fluffy brown "cones" are actually the flowers from Douglas Fir.

That looks like an old, nasty specimen of Chlorophyllum rachodes, way past any potential edible stage.

When young that species is pretty good to eat. At this stage it's a likely source of food poisoning.

Happy mushrooming!

Well I know where to keep an eye out. The down side is either raccoons or cats have been using the whole area (dirt, pine cones, branch debris etc) as a cat box. A big one. So, unless I can find a pooper scooper the size of a snow shovel, I probably won't be eating a whole lot from back there.
