My boyfriend and I bought a kit off of Mushbox.com for our first grow. I have been doing a lot of reading and am finding the importance of FAE during fruiting. Our kit, unfortunately, did not come with a cure for this process. What we were given for fruiting was a container and perlite. We were told to place the perlite in the bottom (with correct amounts of water), then place foil on top of that. After this we place the cakes in the container. How now should we go about with the FAE? I have been trying to find ways around expensive setups, as well as having to be around constantly to manually do so. I read some threads about bubblewands, thought it would be a good idea but am unsure. Also, I read something about the water that drips of the lid could abort some of the shrooms. How can I avoid this as well?


I am asking because a lot of posts are really old, and I want to make sure I am getting correct, up-to-date information.

Simplest method would be to simply fan out the FC manually.

Or you could build your own shotgun FC for about $10. All you need is a clear rubbermaid tote and a drill.

With a drill, you should be able to convert the box that came with your kit to a shotgun terrarium.  Fresh air is the number one pinning trigger, so make sure you're getting plenty.
