marijuana withdrawal is REAL
    #10779986 -

Haven't smoked in 3 days, after smoking daily(2-5 times a day) for about a year.
These are my withdrawal symptoms thus far:
1) I can remember otherwise insignificant events that I would normally forget if I was high.
2) I've had very vivid dreams at night, they seem real and I can still control them. This is fucking awesome, I haven't had dreams like this in god knows how long. I love it.
3) My mood is more steady, I find myself able to sit and relax and think WITHOUT forgetting what I'm thinking about!
4) My short term memory is significantly improved (kinda same as #3)
5) I haven't had to worry about when my next smoke session will be.
6) My parents are proud of me
7) I've already saved approx $20.
8) My lungs feel better
9) The cloud in my head is getting smaller & I'm feeling more and more clear-headed with each day..(yea I know its only been 3 days but still!)

I really don't understand how people can have shitty withdrawal symptoms from weed. Sure, there have been a couple times when I've wanted to smoke..but it was only cause I was bored! Once I found something to do the thought of getting high completely vanished.
Overall I'd say the dreams are my favorite part.
Tonight when I get home Ill be blazing it up and it should be wonderful, I'm looking forward to it.
Peace & love!:mushroom2:

Because they are addicted.  Im heavily addicted, when I go sober its tough for the first days.  But its not a monster to fight like many other addictions out there.  Reading is my anti-drug.

You believe you're addicted? If I may ask, how long have you been smoking for?

My relationship with weed is a love/hate, I started smoking it to assist me in getting over this girl I loved...I got over her & realized I loved weed, lol, but its good to have a break once in awhile. I can see myself being a lifer with weed, its too great and natural to stop completely.

i just quit weed (well, an extended break) last week, and man for the first 4 days or so, sleeping was hell. I couldn't fall asleep, would wake up many times throughout the night, just generally wasn't able to get any rest.

It seems as if that's over now and my body's adjusted

thats interesting. I have read that many people experience sleeping problems when quitting but I've slept just fine the last few nights, if anything I've slept heavier than usual.

Hmm, I guess it's completely different for everyone.  I went from smoking a few times a day for a year to having to stop cold turkey for two weeks and I had absolutely no problems at all, not even a craving.  Sure I missed it, but that's about it.

I think the real trick is to smoke, but not too much. I personally notice little difference between my stoner self and my sober self, but then again I rarely take more than a couple tokes off a pipe in any given session. Another advantage to this is you keep your tolerance low and find much smaller amounts equally satisfying.

For sure. I recently bought a vaporizer and found that the less I smoke, the less I have to smoke to get high..its nice.

also, jair, thats a good way to put it..I miss it but thats about it as far as the negative side goes. and its hardly a negative.
Sometimes its good to take a break from things that we like so that when we do them again, we like them even more.
...like masturbating. Im sure we can all relate to that one. haha

I smoked about an ounce a week mostly by myself until last week.  Trying to take a break myself, though I've smoked at lesat once daily but I'm doing way better than I thought.  My withdrawls have been lack of appetite and difficulty sleeping.  I've also had some intense dreams over the last week.  The best part is I actually remember them after waking up which is in stark contrast to the last 3 years where I've pretty much been high 24/7 and never seemed to have any recollection of my dreams.

I've never been a daily smoker for longer then like a week at a time, but I have experienced weed withdrawal.  It only happens after I have smoked more then usual (like if I have a very good weekend or go to a music festival).  It consists of me getting annoyed much easier and not being able to sleep very well.  Overall I find it very bearable, but I still try to avoid it.

Less is more with weed.

last night I had a dream that I was in my room and I found some money..then I kept looking around and found some more money..in total it was like 500$ that I didn't even know I had! It was sweet..then I woke up and shortly after I realized that I didn't have all that money..lol it was a cool dream though!

I guess 13 years.  I never really added it up before, damn.  Ive had a few sub-year lengths of sobriety in there.

thats not too bad..theres nothing wrong with that unless you are unhappy with it!

Its hard to think that extended weed use can be anything but bad, since society puts such a negative connotation with stoners..but i like to say fuck that. Hopefully one day we'll live in a world that is OK with it.

You're dead on about the dreams. Those freaked me out the first time I took a tolerance break.

Also I find sleep in general very difficult.

I just smoked for the first time in a week last night.  Best weed I've ever had - one hit, I was high as a fucking kite the entire night.  It was :vaped:

I never got any of those any time I "quit" (usually due to lack of funds or dry dealers).

No insomnia, dreams are the same, memory is the same.

I just wish I had a joint

I have been smoking for years on years but, I got a job 9 months ago an have been high every day since then. I know what you're talking about though.

In the past I have quit smoking or did not have any money, I would get mad easy. Could not sleep worth a shit.
