What do you think of digital art?

#10606862 - 07/02/09 01:06 AM (17 years, 3 months ago)

I am fascinated by it, but I can't help myself from looking at it differently than hand made things.

I respect it, and I understand it, but I want to know the opinions of those in the pub on digital art vs hand-made.

What do you guys think of it?

Here is digital fractal 'art', done by plugging numbers into a machine, and unless the guy who did these wrote the program from scratch I am not impressed: http://www.abstractdigitalartgallery.com/art_gallery_abstract_digital_art_fractal_Ahasveru.htm

Then there is this guy who does some pretty time intensive stuff that I can easily respect: http://www.pinktentacle.com/2008/07/animalistic-digital-art-by-ryohei-hase/

Sorry to be a critic, but I'm just being honest... The difference is pretty obvious.

But then heres some handmade crazy shit: http://www.germes-online.com/direct/dbimage/50342584/Classical_Scenery_Painting.jpg

Dunno... What do you guys think?
