strong musty smell after first flush?

it smells quite strong, kinda unplesant as well. I harvested most of the first flush than 2 days later threw away the rest that had aborted. the cake is just sitting there, bare. do you think I used up all its nutritants first flush which yielded a wet ounce? how long does it take to flush again and can I sit the cake directly on the perlite the whole time? do you guys get that smell also?

i have never had any bad smells. it seems weird to me.

3 to 7 days for next flush to appear . Is the smell like the smell the mushies give off ? Mushies kinda smell "musty" IMO , but we all smell things differently . Mushies smell yummy to me !  :wink: Odor gets kinda strong when flush is coming to full maturity .
Some Nutes are still there , mycelium must recover from harvest, ergo the time it takes to redevelop mushies is 3-7 days , just like when you shake grain .

there wasnt enough to trip and I think they were starting to rot and some had water condensation on them. next flush ill eat everything. I dosed low the first flush so I left out the aborts, took only 24.3 wet grams.

yea and the odor is still there. not as strong though but still quite strong. ill keep an eye on the cake though. how long should I wait? 2 weeks? I need the room for other cakes so if this dont flush again in 2 weeks, ok to throw away?
