How do u burn a downloaded movie to a dvd+r
    #10500175 -

I just downloaded a movie (GoodFellas), I burned it to a dvd+R and than tried putting it into my 360. But it says it's unplayable.. so i downloaded this thing called DVD Flick to convert the .avi to dvd format. Is this what i need to be doing or is there a simpler way?

You should download movies in dvdr ntsc format if you want it to be really easy.  Then just use toast titanium, or something similar to burn it and it will play no problem and you don't have to convert anything.  Also the quality is a LOT better when compared to .avi  In my experience .avi sucks and ya you have to convert it for it to be playable.  Just check out piratebay or something similar and look for files by djfred, everything he puts out is perfect quality.

See if you can find a cracked copy of "Convert X to DVD" it pretty much does all the work for you, just select your file then click convert.

Also, if the xbox is networked to your computer you can use a nifty program called Tversity to play just about any form of media on your xbox.

1) Connect your 360 to the internet
2) Put the movie on a flash drive
3) It should download the codec to play the movie
4) Watch the movie

If you don't have a flash drive that sucks. You can get them in the 4-16GB range for <$50. Buying DVD-Rs is probably more expensive in the long run.

If you don't like this method you can convert the .avi to a DVD but you wont get your quality back. It'll also take a slow computer forever.

There are DVD players that can play Divx/Xvid natively. Look into that if you dont like either of the solutions above.

what about mk5 files? Those r usually maybe blu-ray quality almost, but they can't be seen on the XBOX

but yeah i just hook up my external harddrive to my xbox and watch shit there, it works :awebig:

Im not familiar with express burn but you can just torrent toast titanium, just get the newest version (I am assuming you torrented the movie)  Anyway express burn might work, I'm not sure.
