Amanita right? Id pelase. Was growing in mixture of leaves and pine needles under a pine tree. FL

East Central Florida.  My best guess is Amanita Muscaria.

Yes. But I can't tell you what species. I've never seen these here in Germany. Might even be a very young specimen of an A. muscaria variety.

I saw the pin poppin up from far away yesterday, and kept good track of it until i plucked it about an hour ago.  I should of left it in the ground and taken the picture then and there. 
I'm leaning towards A.Pantheria.

Woopsies!    wasn't leaning towards Pantheria... was REALLY leaning towards A.cothurnata.  More common in Florida than Pantheria.

It's not likely muscaria, theres no annulus and it lacks more than one concentric ring.

the basal bulb does point to the pantherina group.

Cap looks bright yellow, unlike  Amanita multisquamosa(A. cothunata)

Nice find, put it up on mushroom observer maybe someone there will recognize it.

Looks like a new one to me, in the section Amanita.

are the warts as dark as they appear in the pics? That grayish/beige color?

Yes.  they do have that gray/beige tint.

I thought most of the species in the pantherina group had white/lighter colored warts than the specimen pictured???

Yup.  The warts are the confusing part.  I can't match them up to any Amanita species that I know of.  But growing conditions also affect the appearance slightly, so that might of thrown my Id way off.  Any advice?

Members of the pantherina group can have white to creamy to sordid cream colored warts.

The cap is a pretty pastel yellow like ive never seen.
I hope you find out what it is.

Thanks for the compliments.  Finding amanita in my area is rare, so I treated it like a newborn left at my door step until the veil broke and the cap opened.  I'll get a proper ID and post it up.  Will probably send a sample out for microscopic studies.

I'll add this.  There is also a bunch of oak trees surrounding the area I found it at.

Well, Tulloss said he couldnt id your mushroom by the pic, you'll need to send him a dry sample.
He said he thinks its in the section Amanita :wink:
