Correlation does not equal causation.  There is already a very low chance of being caught for most things, I was just unlucky enough to be one of the ones that got caught.  PG is nothing more than a confidence booster that you won't get caught.  Plus the fact that with the way the bittorrent protocol works people don't even have to be directly connected to you, they can be connected to someone else that is downloading from you and your IP can still be found.

Yep, by all means keep using it, I'm sure it helps block known IP address, and you might as well weed out all the bad you can.  Just be careful still what and where you download your torrents from/with, because you CAN still get caught.
