PESA's in the Backyard?
    #10365306 -

So I had a Monotub going with Wild Bird Seed, it was fully colonized with mycelium.  I threw it out in the backyard over the deck because I suck at casing.  There was nothing wrong with it contam wise I just didn't want to mess with it anymore.

Found this today, was growing off my old substrate in tall grass, they are bruising greenish blue.

This is what they were growing on

One of the caps

Some bruising

A pic of one of the larger ones, you can see the "lines" on the stem.  sorry I forgot the technical term.

The underside of the cap

And last but not least the patch they came from.

So what do you guys think?

comments and questions are welcome.

I'm a noob so you shouldn't take my ID as 100% accurate, but they look like psilocybe cubensis to me. take a spore print. If it is dark purple brown or dark purple brownish black then it may be cubensis.

Cool, I'll wait it out.  Just thought it was kind funny that they were back there.  Also this backyard is the southern KY, it rained for like a week straight then stopped, so you know.  The spores are dark brown/purpleish.  Thanks for the post man.

I am so proud. My first successful active identification ever. Thank you.
Dry em out. They are potent ones, so make sure you eat a safe dose for what level of trip you want to experience. I hope you have fun dude!

LOL, I usually have a grow going on indoors but I am getting ready to move so I threw everything out...  just thought it was a little funny that this happened.

Once again thanks everyone for the help on the ID
