More bluing/active Panaeolus

I'll be getting some samples out to workman soon...would have earlier but it's been a hectic week. Anyway: here are more of these pans. They're growing pretty damn prolifically on my manure pile.

I originally thought they were cinctulus, but some doubt was expressed in my last thread. They almost look a bit like Panaeolus bisporus at times, but I highly doubt that as these were found in KY.

Another thing to note: they begin as a dark walnut like color, but as they mature and dry out they take on a whitish/creamy color and the caps often crack. Anyway enjoy:

Thanks, man. I use a Pentax k100d and a miniature foldable tripod. Honestly, a tripod is almost essential when photographing fungi unless you've got super steady hands.

yea im gonna agree with alan. the mature specimens could almost pass as a pan cyan, but the pins really look a lot more like pan subbs. they look like some real heady subbs

yeah they do look like Panaeolus cinctulus

there was a post not to long ago of Panaeolus cinctulus that had that purplish type tint to it. Weird, but very cool looking specimens.

I can see why you say that but if so it is at the extreme end in appearance and bluing.  There is something not quite right about it.  I can't wait to check it out.  I hope its not P. cinctulus.
