I found an active PNW style

Hab: PNW. I think a tree was cut down from this area. Grass and i think some alder chips near by.
stem: Pitch white lots of blue black brusing
cap: Little bigger then a quater. Nipple on top. Wavy on the edges. dark brown when picked. blue brusing on edge of cap.
smell: mushroomy
spores: couldnt take in time but im guessing purple because there were purple stain on the stem where the stem was touching the cap. so im guessing those were spores.
gills: almost black dark color not attached to stem. I think it might be a Stunzii? or something else i dont know pretty sure active though coolness.

Ya im taking a spore print im guessing itll turn out purple if i can get one. They still have some moistness in there maybe i can still get it.
I just looekd at pics of Psilocybe baeocystis and that looks like it or very close at least. Uncommon for this area?

Way to go man! Good to see some actives being found in the PNW! I just found my first liberty cap the other day. I've also picked what I believe is the same thing you have there, psilocybe baeocystin (as it was ID'd for me). Looks like it to me! But please don't let my advice be the one that decides whether or not you eat it
Congrats!

The pale (when dried) wavy cap, heavy bluing and contorted stem point to Psilocybe baeocystis. If you have a microscope you could look at the spores and see if they are mango shaped. Good find, one of the rarer PNW Psilocybes.

I found those shrooms in a patch where the grass wasn't growing. Looked like tehre was alder chips in the middle of the patch which is kinda wierd. It was in a park like atmosphere. Man made park and grass. I tripped last night... it was awesome. haaha good luck shroomers.

yea those are bayos i find buttloads of them every year in seattle sometimes they mingle with ringers in the grass or you'll find them in massive colonies in beauty bark it's not unusual to find a dry pound just sittin' there if you know where to look
they are more potent than ringers, but less potent than cyans they can be totally magical though sometimes turning beautiful bronze or copper/gold in the sun with amazing blues boarding on purple/greens shiny silver stems
i haven't found anything yet this year but i'll let you know when i do, lol should be soon i'm guessing

The narrly white stem and pitted wrinkled cap edges point directly to P. baeocystis. kudos on you small score.

Never have I been lucky enough to come across Baeos, many Ringers, but never Baeos.
If I find them this season, who knows, I may be inclined to trip again.

Yeah, I've never found them in grassy areas, like some people have.
I've found two spots. One was huge.
