I tripped fuckin hard on mushrooms once to his live album ("live at stubbs"?) It was a great time.  I dislike hiphop too.  seriously, I haven't listened to any of his new stuff, but back about 3 years ago he was teh shit.  Goes great with the psychedelic headspace.  Definately not to be taken literally imo

I like most of his music.  The only thing I don't like is when he tries to do the whole beat-boxing and scat-singing routine.

He is going to be playing a show with Les Claypool here in a few months.

Just seems like a weird opener for les, but I'm willing to bet they jam(i'm pretty sure ive seen him and les on stage together)

It's cool, i dig the live stubbs album.

He used to tour with phish, on lot I mean.  His story is actually quite interesting.  He's an old acid-head.

i saw him at a show with dark star orchestra. DSO came out and jammed and it was an aswesome time, everybody was into it and just letting loose. then matisyajew came out and the crowd just died, it was seriously pathetic. he is a horrible musician and anybody who likes him doesnt know shit about music
