OTD is slow as fuck right now, so I'll post this here.
Is anyone a fan of Matisyahu?
If you aren't familiar with him, he's the popular Jewish Hasidic reggae artist.
Here is a live track for those of you less familiar with him.

Nice! Was he in all in full Hasidic attire? That would be awesome.

Damn...I just downloaded 3 of his CD's...this is some really cool chill ass music. Kinda reminds me of a little more reggae-ish/religious version of slightly stoopid. btw, slightly stoopid KICKS...im gonna switch to them right now btw...

Matisyahu is a nice fresh breath to the music scene, for any genre. Saw him at Wakarusa, he rocked the tent. I passed up SCI for Matisyahu, people with me thought I was nuts. Until of course they got there & jaw was dropped the entire time. No one had any regrets & felt very lucky to catch that show. And Beatbox takes a whole new realm........

He's like Sublime, but without the soul. WTF does he want anyway?

huh???? Matisyahu has plenty of soul. i'd even say he has more soul than sublime. The only yhitng i tcan think of is how passionate and deep his music is. I dunno WHAT you're talking about.

I was just noticing the banner ad for a Matisyahu album I'm seeing on Pandora.com
I got a kick out of the "hey, look how jewish I am!" appearances

Man, I'd heard King Without a Crown like 4 or 5 times on the radio, but had no idea who it was... my girlfriend found it annoying, but I found it incredibly impressive how he kept rhythm while moving in and out of sync with said rhythm... it's fucking cool.
Is there a studio version of King Without a Crown around? I would like to hear that...
