I like their stuff, tried to torrent a couple albums to get a broader sampling.. but they were all poisoned torrents.. so now I won't bother buying the cds unless I saw it really cheap somewhere.

thanks... that's the one i heard actualy...
i've downlaoded that live show and am listening to it right now, it's such a weird mix (the lame hebrew kinda gets to me but apart from that it's deacent)
sounds like "fun" music... makes me want to trip for this show!!! i'm not sure about that yet i'm afraid it would be too distracting and i won't be able to focus on the music (and on the other hand it might make it 100 times better...)

I'm going to see Infect Mushroom soon. I'd usually like to be high at something like this, but I've decided to go sober.
Have fun.

thanks
i haven't seen infected play a whole set in my life actualy (i've seen about half a set at some lame festival in the haifa port\harbour but the police decided to stop them... as usual) it was enough though... i was pretty sober (just a small hash joint a few hours befor that) and it was one of the few times i've had extacy run through out my body... i felt it going up my spine and spreading all over untill it reached my head (in climex with the music)
of course infected let it RIP befor they finelly stopped the set (they said "ok last tune befor we finish" and draged it for about 20 more minuts of insane hard core infected )

Matisyahu just kicks ass. The fact that this jewish dude from NY decided to learn to sing reggae strikes me as such a big "fuck you" to all forms of social taboo.
The kicker is he's so good at it.
Once you get used to his utilization of hebraic sounds in his singing, you realize how much it aids him rhythmically. His beatboxing alone completely blows my mind. I haven't combed through all the live performances yet, but this one is better and faster than either of the album versions:
http://www.archive.org/download/matisyahu2005-09-29.flac16/matisyahu2005-09-29d1t08_vbr.mp3
P.S. Did I mention I've been listening to Matisyahu religiously for like 2 months straight now? Pretty much since I first heard him and Robot forced some good tracks on me. Between his two albums, there's almost nothing else in my heavy rotation anymore. It will take a mighty artist to knock Matisyahu from my "every day obsession" queue.
Just thought you should know what you're getting into...
Of course, I am pretty obsessed with singing, so I can't help loving this guy...

Oh shit... I have been listening to Saul lately too, completely forgot to put him in my sig list... I will definitely squeeze his Self-Titled on there... fucking LOVE it. (And just recently found it also...) Talk To Strangers and Telegram are probably my favorites on there.

Yeah man, he's got so much soul when he brings it. I saw him live recently and found it decent, but not quite what he's capable of... however, they pulled off a great show even with his voice not quite on all the way.

whoa
official set list for the show...
Happiest Days of our lives Another Brick In The Wall Mother Shine On You Crazy Diamond Have a Cigar Wish You Were Here Gunner's Dream Southampton Dock Fletcher Memorial Home Perfect Sense Leaving Beirut Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun Sheep 15 minut break... [Dark Side of the Moon] Speak To Me, Breathe, On The Run, Time, The Great Gig In The Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage, Eclipse, [End of Dark Side of the Moon] four planned anchours... In The Flesh Vera Bring The Boys Back Home Comfortably Numb
from all that list i think the only songs i'm not femiliar with are these four... Southampton Dock Fletcher Memorial Home Perfect Sense Leaving Beirut and maybe happiest days of our lives (althouhg i might know that one... it rings a bell)
NOW i'm psyched as hell... this is going to be the best show i've ever seen so far, and i've seen my fair share of bands: sonic youth, radiohead, RATM, metallica, supergrass, dEUS, ozric tentecals, allanis, faith no more, grabage, k's choice, shpongle, infected...
i also think i've decided to eat some mushrooms for this one... hopfully i'll get some hash as well... can 3 grams become too distracting to enjoy the music or exectly the opposit?
