Question for the masses is truth really stranger than fiction?
    #10186579 -

does any one think that as language is evolving that every word that has established itself did so because that word was the one that resonated with that event in space-time, making words nothing more than the phonetic point of a culmination of a series of events, and at the same time the point of origin of another series of events?

There is a very pointed reason I ask?  And I know this belongs in metaphysics or whatever, nut I don't believe in metaphysics cause the name suggests something beyond physics which I know to be impossible.

Anyways I put it in the pub for a reason.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Same thing happened to me when I played Neil Armstrong in Moonshot. They found me in an alley in Burbank trying to re-enter the earth's atmosphere in an old refrigerator box.

I am talking about language as a physical manifestation of the physical equations that facilitate events. Resonance is what I am talking about, resonance as a physicality, a harmonious marriage between the moment and our perception.  Not an independent phenomena that exists solely for our benefit.  I am talking about language as a number.

I am disappointed no one wants to play with me.   should have expected it.

Language evolves in the form of memes.  Besides that I'm hopelessly confused by your post.  :sorry:

ah...

Ok so lets say we observe an event.  that is the starting point.  Now, inside our tiny little heads a series of mathematical equations starting whirring and whizzing and impacts are made.  I say impacts cause everything in the world is contingent upon spatial change even the reactions in our tiny head wouldn't happen without momentum, being possessed of the moment, or movement.  So there has to be an impact of some sort,  that is all I am talking about.  That impact and its various effects on the world, and physical fabric.  And the physical fabrics effects on language.

I suppose I am wondering at the power of words and what the true extent of their power is, not just our present to realized perception of their power. i was looking for someone to hash this thing out with me. I mean, can I with enough understanding  really move mountains with words, and in which ways can I move mountians?  Or perhaps its not about words but about soundwave pitch variation, and then how conscious construction of sound waves, premeditated if you will play into the over all equation.  I am wondering if magic really exists and in what forms.

Words are very powerful creatures indeed; and I'd argue you can move mountains with the correct application of them (although this would most likely involve convincing hundreds of other people to join your cause rather than any overt magical act).

McKenna talks a lot about language in the sort of way that you're describing:

The real secret of magic is that the world is made of words, and that if you know the words that the world is made of you can make of it whatever you wish.

I am saying!!!!!!!

that is my dilemma.  I was alluding to the theory of word application in my previous post.  What is the extent of their power? Can, i elevate above the need to convince hundreds and thousands of people, and just beable bale to say bang, and create whole uni(verses).

I was reading The Scriptures and it says in the beginning he was the word and the word was him, and nothing in the world was not made without him.  Referring to Jesus.  Then he walked through a door and walked on water and all these otter "miracles".  The it dawned on me that Hebrew characters also have a number/letter association and I started thinking about the matrix. So now I am all confused and shit cause I ain't supposed to practice magick, but where does magick start and charisma begin.  I am all fucked up.

Stupefying Language

Naturally stupid societies can maintain their stupidity by
careful tailoring of language systems.  Subversion of
comprehensibility is a basic element of artificial stupidity; a stupid
society takes care to keep whatever intelligent information it has
about its own behavior or about the environment in which it dwells,
wrapped carefully in language that is esoteric, strident,
poly-syllabic, poorly organized or otherwise off-putting.

Medical information is withheld from patients by teaching
physicians to scribble in Latin.  Legal information is hidden from
people by putting it in the smallest possible print and the dumbest
possible jargon.  Political issues are displaced by shibboleths,
slogans and patriotism wrapped in yellow ribbons.  Market information
is wrapped around the neurotic compulsions of people for sex, status,
power and love.

Any effort to make scholarly language lively, enjoyable,
angry, engaging or down-right fun is discouraged by stupid scholars,
stupid teachers or stupid authors since wit and antic joy is hostile
to stupor.  Artificial Rationality Numbers are the natural language of
stupidity since they have neither wit nor wisdom. Artificially
rational societies force its scientists to encode all of the more
interesting and relevant data into numbering systems.  The scientist
who can package the most data in the smallest, most obscure package is
the scientist who is given the highest awards.  Nobel prizes are given
for two pages of equations on economics, astrophysics or
genetics. Artificially stupid societies treat poetry, song, and
graffiti as if they weren't packed full of knowledge and human
understanding.  Such wise and wonderful wit are left bereft of prize
or pride in synthetically stupid societies.

This may not seem stupid but one should remember that social
life is an immensely complex and interconnected whole.  Quantification
is a process by which information is systematically discarded as the
incalculable richness, variability and strangeness of social life are
converted into words and words into numbers.  Then the numbers
themselves are condensed and delimited in such a way that, by the time
they are retrieved, almost all of the information has been discarded.
That way it is possible to generate nice clean theoretical
statements--statements which are the last distillate of numerical
stupidity.

this ins't just about social which is intrinsically related to people, its about physics and society is part of physics.

and liek I said its not just about words but about sounds as well.

but that was phunny.

Look up McKenna's La Chorrera experiment; some very interesting things can be done with combining sound vibrations and psychedelics.

Also the ritual vibrations in ceremonial magick might be right up your alley.

You realize physics is all about explaining the unexplainable right?

We'll never know the truth about our physical reality. The best we can do is describe it with math and make analogies with physics.

But we will truly never know the inner workings of the universe.

Everything beyond our current realm of experimentation and mathematical description is called "metaphysics."

Quantum mechanics is well on its way to proving many metaphysical theories.
