cite that source, I've heard this repeated a few times but I've never seen anything that backs it up

bullshit.  Saplings need light to grow.  remember that thing called photosynthesis?  Needs lite, plus tons of other shit not found in the very small sacks that comprise most of your lung space.  I don't believe it.

you dont have to believe it although the conditions are
favorable for germination of a fresh viable seed, nutrients are
available in the seed for getting it's crown above the dirt, it
wont need sun for at least a couple weeks

how though did the doctor know it was a fir tree

Probably checking a sample under a microscope.

Last year in a friends apartment we found some marijuana seedlings growing out of the drain hole in the sink. Apparently some seeds were thrown down it and they germinated but there wasn't anything for the roots to grip on to so they were dislodged and destroyed pretty easily. Imagine having a pot plant growing inside of you :happyweed:

sorry if I came across like it was a certainty.

It is just something that I remember hearing on the discovery channel a couple of years ago.  Its stuck with me. Never seen anywhere anything that validates these assertions or refutes them.  I remember they cited our susceptibility to fungal infections such as yeast and oral flushes as a curious symptom of the shared dna sequences.  It strikes me as entirely possible, plausible.  But I think I also said I don't know if its is true or not.

it is just something that someone could look into if they were overwhelmed with curiosity.  At this point I am not.  I am tired and well fed. I was fixin to "veg" out, or rather maybe "mush" out in front of the palantir.  I might have just filed it away as it must be true cause it was on the discovery channel.  See how the palantir works both ways? Gandalf knew, Saruman fell.  Please Y'all, I never used to watch to TV but now that I work so much its all I do when I get off.  pray for me.

Not many ;p. What i mean is looking at it under a scope would show that it is in fact a plant, then they could have had someone else determine what kind it s.

the whole thing smacks of urban legend to me.  that is all.  Like the one that used to go around about watermelon seeds growing in peoples stomachs.
