naw i don't think we've hit doomsday, i think were about to boom into a global government over the next 20 years.  if the world had one goal, it would be to unite the world for better efficiency, and domination before we run out of oil.  if we don't have total control by time that happens, then prepar for :hellfire:  altho a global government is almost as bad

you guys are retarded. our nation is not dying whoever said that. that doesnt happen anymore. 200-300 yeasr ago yes. but the world is too interconnected for that to happen nowadays. The US will never "die" it will only change. Ironic cuz thats obamas slogan but hes :kingtard: - he has the right idea, just not the right means to go about it.

i cant see there being a world government. the nations of the world are WAY too different for a single common government to reign over all. You expect to treat the US the same as you would Mongolia? or Saudi Arabia? how about Kenya? :lol: no that can't happen. Unless you have some other idea of what this government would do. I'm curious if you do. What would this world government do? Would it be any different than the UN? or any other world organizations that currently exist? What would make them different?

im sure there still working out the details, but for discussion sake something along the lines of one currency, one set of laws, global minumum wage, global walmarts and mcdonalds :lifesaver:

but its all in baby steps, and there's no real point in removing the existing gov, it just needs its laws changed.  maybe a global language which really wouldn't take that much time, one or two generations.  anyways a real global gov is possible, but as we've learned, "baby steps".  a global gov has alot to give, yet alot to take

Our major energy source is coal, not oil. Coal plants are what gives most of us electricity.

The major thing that relies on oil in this country is the trucking industry. However, without trucking, America's economy  would be fucked. Almost every product you see in any store had trucking involved at some point of its transport. The only thing that could possibly compete with trucking in terms of freight is trains, but new infrastructure would be needed, and even then it couldn't replace trucks entirely.

I have read somewhere that North Dakota is considered 'the Saudi Arabia of wind energy', and if that is right, maybe that can replace coal.

I'm a little more worried with your typical, consuming American. Not so worried about the stock market or our economic system. We over-consume, go into debt, believe we all deserve our own mansion, and all deserve an easy job at a desk that earns a ton of money.

People just kept getting too greedy and it ruined our way of life. And nobody wants to give it up now.

it might be fear but it has still affected many people i know, who have been laid off, or had their wages reduced to avoid company bankruptcy. my salary got cut in half.

do you work? b/c it certainly feels like a recession to me and everyone around me.

i dont think the country is failing. we might be realizing that we aren't invincible, but we're not dying, we'll be fine in a couple years or sooner. i agree with your economic observations about the market, but not your implication that we aren't in a recession with over 8% unemployment.

But thats the problem. People always are and always will be greedy.

Communuism is perfect in theory, but people corrupt it untill the little man (you and me) say fuck this and have an uprising, and some dictator takes over untill he is over-ridden by the people who think we should have order and structure in the goverment. The cycle will continue untill we as humans evolve (which takes millions of years) enough to realize that this shit wont work and we need to look at the bigger picture, or we kill ourselves off with nukes and bio-chemical weapons.

In 6000 years of recorded history, we have discovered nuclear fission, and used it to kill hundreds of thousands, and we now have enough nuclear weapons stockpiled to vaporize the world 1000 times over. Thats the fastest anything known has ever grown when it come to intelligence. Were just too smart for our own good.

As a race, we humans, are fucked. There is nothing we can do, but sit back and watch as our world falls before our eyes.

Actually, I myself think that a bunch of dudes figured this out thousands of vears ago, and made up the bible to help save humanity, but there isnt time for me to get into that.

This country WILL fail. Maybe tommorow, maybe 200 years from now. But it will happen.
