I had a crazy idea, Vinegar (Acetic Acid) is one of the best ways to extract Psilocybin/Psilocin according to Erowid.

Say somebody left 3G covered in vinegar for a couple of days and then necked the shot (Urggh! :nut:) I'm sure you would trip a lot harder a lot faster, but for a shorter period of time, maybe?

Has any body tried this or is willing too???  :eyemouth:

Its very scientific but basically explains the Vinegar is one of the best ways to extract the goodies as oppossed to a high percentage alcohol.

Would you really take a shot of vinegar to intensify a trip? First off, it probably wouldnt be that much more intense, and secondly thats absolutely disgusting. You wont catch me doing this anytime soon, but go for it if you find it necessary...

Yeah, for a lot less gross way to achieve a quicker, more intense onset make some tea. I wouldn't drink vinegar either, heh.

vinegar shot= barf city
eating shrooms= not barf city
shroom tea= not barf city

why dont you just evaporate your vinegar extract and throw it in a capsule.

I personally like the taste of vinegar. I'm stange that way. I also love the taste of asprin and when I was a kid my mom had to hide the castor oil because I used to drink it straight up. All True.

However, I'm not so sure I would like the taste of shroom flavored vinegar. The might actually make me gag a little. I think the vinegar should be evaporated off and then use the goop that's left. I would do this with only a small portion of my dose, like say 1/4 of it, and then eat the rest ground up in some orange juice. The come on would be amost immediate and the trip would last just as long.

I like the idea of evaporating the concentrate and capsulating. However if i was to drink it, I would shoot the mixture with a syringe right down my throat and bypass my tongue...

Say you powdered 2.5 G and extracted with enough vinegar, how long do u reckon it would take to evaporate.

I wonder if anyone knows wether it can be turned into a solid?

Apparently typical household vinegar is only 4 to 6% acetic acid by weight. The boiling point of vinegar varies proportionally with the content of acetic acid. To boil a concentration of 4 to 6% (ie household vinegar) it takes a temp of 118C, so itd at least take longer than water to evaporate, but again, thats household vinegar. As far as the concentration of acetic acid youd need to produce an efficient extraction, i have no idea. Just check it out before you try this or you'll waste your shrooms!(source).
