You have to make sure the torrent has seeders, that should be easily identified in a program such as uTorrent, which you can download off google. You just find a set that has torrents and download them, open them up in uTorrent and let it sit, all though if it has a lot of seeders it shouldn't take too long.

Seeders (Other peers) who upload the torrent for you, with no one to upload it to you you cannot receive it.

1 - Download this http://mac.utorrent.com/

2 - Go here http://isohunt.com/

3 - Search File "Gay Porn" for our purposes

4 - Click the "S" S stands for seeds. Seeds are people who have finished downloading the file and are uploading. leechers are people who are still downloading. Generally the higher the Seed to Leecher ratio the better.

5 - Find the file with the greatest amount of seeds "http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/59153121/gay+porn?tab=summary" for our example

6- click "download torrent"

7 - Open with UTORRENT!!!!! The actual download is only a few KBS, it is a link of sorts that allows utorrent to download the ACTUAL file.

use any torrent that has enough seeds,

i use microtorrent, and it works great, before I was using the opera torrent client from the browser, and that didn't work too well, it was really slow or wouldn't dl at all. But now I can download entire albums in like less than a minute.

look up microtorrent or utorrent.

for what ever reason when utorent pops up in my tool bar it just vanishes as soon as it appeares
nothing is seeming to work

Restart your PC and try again. 

If it still happens press Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if it's running in task manager.

torrents are whack, too easy to get caught, and peer guardian doesn't do shit... ive been caught before on torrents, and now find rapidshare/megaupload plenty suited for my album needs

When I was using my roommates mac I used azureus.  I don't like that client anymore tho cause its written in java which makes it slowwww.  And they also added in a bunch of unnecessary shit to it making it slower.  For windows utorrent is a great client i thinks its written in either C or C++ I forget but its extremely fast compared to a java client.  Bare with me I forget the keystrokes and menus on mac but are you trying to open the file itself or opening the client first then trying to open the file.  I always open the file directly and if a program isn't assigned to the torrent file yet go to Open With and then Choose Program then choose whatever bittorrent client you are using.  If you can get the client to open I believe most support dragging and dropping the torrent files into the client.  Also if you are behind a router or firewall make sure you have port forwarding enabled on the port your bittorent client is running on for optimal speeds.

As for the client popping up and disappearing.. In windows the client drops down to the little mini icon in the right corner of the screen and click or double click it to pull the window back up.  Again I forget what goes on on a mac I believe most programs just drop down to the docking bay or some may show a small icon in upper right hand corner near your Airport icon(the wifi thingy) and that all that shit.. Maybe I don't remember.  Is any of this making any sense or am I just rambling?

Anyway once the client opens the file it may ask you where on your harddrive you would like to download the file to or it may be set to a default location and just start hauling ass.

Any apple heads in here that can make all my jibberish any clearer?
