trippy movie torrents? im new to bit torrent

i just got bittorrent yesterday to download a few episodes of 24. damn i was impressed with it. now im trying to get a copy of fear and loathing in las vegas and some other trippy movies.

allow me to re-phrase, i would like a link to a place where i can download fear and loathing and other good movies if you could spare it THANKS :smile:

also what sort of legal issues am i dealing with here?

i read the other day that bittorrent is using 40% of the internets bandwith, so i doubt that im going to get singled out.... any recent cases?

suprnova was the best website for torrents. Unfortunetly they shut down, and have developed a more secure torrent like client, exeem, but the network is down now, been that way for like 2 weeks.. good program though.

Suprnova was for hit and runners IMHO. It was alright.

I'm a huge torrent person (650+ gigs uploaded and over 300 gigs downloaded) and still no letters or anything. Just remember, always use protection (www.methlabs.org) and get peerguardian2, great little proggy

i've switched to straight dvdr's only through usenet... it's like $16 a month and i download about 4-5 dvds a day.

right now i'm at 1279.086 GB down

I'm really likin this peer guardian....as soon as I installed it, I'm getting all these blocked requests and sends to Internap Network Services, apparently some ad-related website.

The mest part is, the source is coming from my local IP so this means I have adware?

that's actualy from about the last 2-3 months, and i've left long gaps in a few days as well...  like when my 2 120gig hd's fill up and i'm too lazy to burn dvd's. :lol:

i'd say i go thru about 150 a month, so you figure i'm spending about $75 for that many dvd's, about 50 cents a movie.

and then finding a place to put all these damn things, sheesh, it's rediculous.

i was using netflix and ripping the movies directly, but it got old doing that, too much work, and they started bieng dicks and sending movies later and later, so i canceled them...

What usenet prover do you use.

I use usenetserver.com and leech the pants off of it. Every night before bed i set it to grab 2 dvds. Do you use NZBzone.com?

there is also protowall/blocklist manager from http://www.bluetack.co.uk/index.php - that is what I use. I think it is better than peerguardian.

I dont think IP range blocking will protect us that much on BT, but I use it anyways - it doesnt hurt.

The best advice I can give about security on BT is to try to avoid big name hollywood movies - especially those that are in the theatres or new to dvd (the movies they are making money off of, basically).

I would be down with newsgroups, but I dont want to pay for anything.

seriously... fuck bit torrent. Download a program called Newsbin Pro, and get hooked into the usenet downloading.

You will need to get a par recovery program. I use Quick Par.

With usenet you will get optimal download with no upload. I get a constant 602Kbs download.

i use newshosting.com, 14.95 a month, and then go to dvdrs.net and pay the lame 1.25 a month (but well well worth it). i usualy download a gang of nzb's then let it lapse for like 2 weeks while i catch up on my dl's, then come back to it, and thier still there, and i download all those again... i also use nbpro 4.32 (cracked of course)


i get 3.9Mbps/500KBps from earthlink at 3.0 down

it's kinda tricky to learn at first, but once you get it down it's easy as cake.
