I really enjoyed it. They nailed most of the main running storyline(s) well; the message came across pretty loud and clear.

It was entertaining; lots of action, visually stunning along with great music and sound.

They nailed most of the characters (obviously a few things felt a little off to most of us who read the comic, but that should be expected a bit with a "mainstream" adaptation). Rorschach was incredible. Dr. Manhattan and Veidt were exceptional as well; their inherent lack of emotion was portrayed really really well.

The things I didn't like: what is with this director and his awkward sex scenes? "300"'s sex scene was pretty similar; am I missing something about his sexual representations on-screen?

I didn't like how they left out the newspaper stand guy. Although, he and the comic reader may show themselves in that extra DVD release...? I hope so. I DO understand that it would have been difficult to just toss in another parallel running storyline to the already very complex plot, but I was sad to not experience that portion of it. I was also anticipating a cool 1st person view progression/scene through Rorschach's eyes like there was in the comic, but hey, that would have just been a cool :thumbup:

kind of a thing. more of a novelty thing i guess.

anyways, i just thought i'd add my 2 cents on 1 (and now 2 i guess...) pieces of art that i think deeply and positively (while at the same time injecting a bit of apathy towards mankind). i am happy that the movie came out so well; there was so very much potential for disaster with this one. again, just my opinion on this movie, i know that there will be a lot of people who will not find this movie or story entertaining or insightful.
