seriously in need in help!
    #982261 -

My friend is only hours away from collecting his first harvest but he has one really big problem, he doesnt know where to find any Damp Rid or any other dehydrating agent to dry out his shroomies. Does he need to find them or can he use something else?

Air dry with a small fan. That will work perfectly fine. It usually takes less time than using dessicant.

you can just set them in a drawer and let them dry on their own.

My friend uses a fan, just puts the shrooms right on top of the fan.  Get a fan that you can rotate so it will be blowing air up twords the ceiling.  He does this for eight hours or so.  Then go to waly world and look in the automotive section.  Buy a jug of Prestone driveway heat(for melting ice) it's made of calcium chloride.  Works good for my friend, dried shrooms in 1 day and 1 night.

you can find damp rid in home depot in the paint area. just tell them your looking for something to dry out the area (like a closet or something) that you're painting. If that doesn't pan out try going to a camping store, they usually have little bags of it. Just tell them your looking for something to dry out the cabin of your boat or your tent or something.

Just don't ask the store employees for dessicant. All you will get is a blank eyed stare. "Dessi-what"?

check out the URL below for sources for DampRid dessicant. From personal experience, I can tell you that a lot of these stores don't actually have it...but it's a good place to start!!

Ok, look for crystal kitty litter, I've seen it in wal-mart, super markets, and pet stores, you have to be able to find it. It's 100% silica gel. Don't get the kind with litter just crystals only. It works great.

hobby shops have the stuff too used for drying flowers cheep but I dont remeber a name brand, this stuff works great still fan dry for few hours, and you only have to make them cracker dry if you plan on keeping them for awhile.

put them under a circulating fan for about 24 hours, and then put them in a tupperware container with a jar full of damprid. You can find damprid at home depot or walgreens, if you have one around. If you can't find any, just keep it under the fan, it will take longer to get them cracker dry, but they will eventually get there. hope this helps

peace,
