flipping jars??

are you supposed to flip them sometime while they be colonizing??? person in other post said he flipped them...and i didnt know you were supposed to flip them...are you supposed to???

As my jars reach 85%-90% colonization I pull the tape off the holes and flip 'em. Seems to help them finish.  :smile:

I only flip em if they seem to have stalled, but it dose help to speed things up.

my lids dont have holes, do i need them to have holes if i want flipping jars to work right?

Yes, CO2 is heavier than oxygen, and it drains out the holes.
