I've told everyone I know to read that book.
It really opened up what I had previously thought to be an incomprehensible subject.

Yeah it's an excellent book  :smile:

My favorite part was the last chapter, "Prospects", where it talks a bit about ideas as to what the fundamental structure of "space" actually is. Awesome stuff.

in fact an electron does not seem to exist in space as a particle until it is observed!

Isn't that true of everything though? It's like the tree falling in the forest thing.

The tree falling in a forest is a philosophical idea, the idea of an electron not existing as a particle until it is observed is a physics idea. In physics the tree DOES make a sound, even if no one is there to hear it. The electron may not exist in a certain location or certain form, though.

Quantum uncertainty. Weird stuff.
