i saw it before it was a "scenester fag" thing and i thought i was pretty good. now it annoys me that every one is so into it cause it was considered cool by hot topic.  but i don't know how i would feel now i haven't seen it in over 5 years probably.

Don't know. Started to watch it, but turned it off halfway through. Terribly boring and it had me far too lost to keep focused.

I don't understand why people think it makes them intelligent to "hide" things from the viewer. All though some movies do it right (Fight Club, Memento etc) and others leave me wondering why they were even made.

DD wasn't terrible, I probably would have liked it more had my expectations not been so high.

I found it really uplifting...  What's with all the hate?  It's a fantasy with some really interesting themes/ideas thrown in there.  There's an awesome deleted scene where Donnie is talking to his dad, has anyone seen that?

Ugh, not true.  The director's cut attempt at explanation destroyed the good story of the original... the former element of mystery replaced by quasi-new age science that only turned me off.
