deffinitly a good film, it was the directors first movie to, and the song "mad world" the gary jules version is apparently a cover of a tears for fears song but i havent heard the original but the one in the movie rocks, i love that movie.the dvd is great, there is some good deleted scenes.

Plot, perhaps?

Its an 'end of the world' movie. Thats all I know. Something about a book. You can't really interpet the movie until you understand the book.

Whatever that means. I'm too lazy.

Maybe it was all the hype about it that built it up in my head as being an awesome movie. I just didn't like it.

I liked it the first time I saw it, just because the ending it totally unexpected and you're just left with all these loose ends you can try to figure out. But the second and third times it just got lamer and lamer. Plus catching the tail end on HBO a few more times and I can't stand it anymore. It just seems like it's just as much of a commercial teenie movie as the I Know What You Did Last Summers.

I had to read Graham Greene's The Destructors (the book they read in the english class, that starts a bunch of controversy) last week for English, and it's a damn good short story if you have a teacher to analyze it for you. I think you can find it on the web with a google search, and it's only 13 pages. Maybe there's some analysis too.

i loved the movie and the comedy, being introducted to it was a great film
a lot of people disagree after though, they just dont like that the people make your own assumption on the end and hate that they dont understand parts of it..
though it does have a complex story its still mixed with a teen story but that doesnt mean it doesnt have a lot of great film elements
ive seen it just too much though :smile:
