Dont know what they are

Caps : Orangey Light Brown, white around the tip of the cap, very sticky and gooey almost.
Gills : Light brown/whiteish and real close together, many of them.
Stalk : Thick with white inside. Light brown and turning a very darkish brown at the bottom once damaged. Also a little white ring about 1/4 way down
Where Found : On a rainy day near a river on muddy ground in amongst nettles and bushes under a light cnopy of trees.

Found in the uk.

Im guessing some sort of Amanita...possibly, I really cant tell. Im still learning myself. Its hard for me to judge other shrooms...

Way easier when ya got it in front of you and know exactly hwere it was found!
Amanitas are deadly, so dont eat it just yet. Wait for the more experienced to comment.

sure is hard as hell to tell from your pics, m8.
they look, as angry says, inactive. and they have the traits (some) of amanita's.
they dont really SCREAM amanita or anything.  just as likely armillaria or stropharia or anything.  slimy, sort of?  sorry man.  i would like to help.
at least by posting you will learn what attributes are necessary in id.s.
they are, in no particular order:

spore color.  very important for distinguishing look-alikes.
attachment of gills.  some mushrooms are identical aside from this attribute.
colors of cap from edge to center.
color of stem from top to bottom.
whether or not there is a sac-like fleshy bit at the base of the stem.
any peculiar odors (all mushrooms are mushroomy, just some have vague hints of radish, or curry, or creosote- very helpful. just give it a go)
any bruising, however slight, anywhere.
the cross-section.  this is to further examine gill attachment and to determine the nature of the inside of the stalk (hollow, pithy, etc.)
habitat- including RECENT weather (not "it was cold out", rather, it has been like this: so-and-so degrees, this much rain, etc.) . the trees and shrubs and the substrate are all equally important.
size.  include size across cap of young and old specimens.  the length and width of stalk for same. a range is better.
more than one specimen is required for id.
better pics.

uhm, and any guesses you have are welcome.

good luck.
peace. :smirk:

Well i got to learn somewhere, and i guess this is the right place, i kinda guessed they wouldnt b nefin active. Thx for the guiders, ill bin this batch and see if nefin grows from the grow kit i started (doubt it) but what can u do cept give it a go. I feel like a right tit from that slating u gave me  ah well, best go bury my head in the sand.
Thx
dont matter if it aint active still like being out in the country chilling out, and who couldve thought noticing nature (instead of stumbling round it stoned) can make u feel alot better.
