Thats the problem... we go through this kind of stuff a lot. But then things get better and we're happy again. I know that it seems like I made a quick decision, but honestly, its not even my decision. Its hers. She said she wanted a divorce last night, and hasn't taken it back, and is doing what she normally does all day... playing WOW, and now sleeping. She'll be asleep for the next 3 hours. When I try to talk to her, she'll want me to go get her some food, while she sits at home and continues just to play, ignoring our plans that we had for the day... ugh. Its just so unfulfilling :frown:


It so difficult to offer specific advice on peoples relationship. Its really sad though that people that love each other are dirfting apart because of a computer game.

Don't sweat it too hard about her if she begins to get really depressed and screwed up. Seeing as she is now, it's likely bound to happen anyway. It's sad but there really isn't anything to do about it and we all must accept that people are their own and are very hard to change. We can glance at thousands of people and from right there know the few simple steps that it takes to improve their lives completely but unfortunately people are often very static. That's one of life's greatest tragedies! Oh well. You can't let other people's sorrows fill your heart.


Aside from that, am I one of the few who kind of like Valentine's Day? Between individual relationships it can seem shallow and annoying, but I imagine going out and seeing hundreds of other couples enjoying themselves along side of you at your favorite restaurant is a beautiful experience.

She's probably severely depressed and is clinging on to what she thinks brings her happiness. It's actually dragging her further and further away from any sense of satisfaction, but I doubt she'd believe that if you told her.

I used to live next to my sister and her husband. I had gotten him in to WoW a few years back, big mistake, and then we ended up getting my sister in to it.

He has no self control when it comes to the game. He would put off everything for that game and get pissed if he couldn't play it when he wanted to. He would ignore my sister, ignore their son, and generally block out anything going on in the real world for hours at a time as he was always in raids. He'd then take a break, get something to eat, and go right back at it.

They got divorced a few weeks back. Your wife needs to decide whats more important. Being happy forever with you, or being happy for a little while with the game.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind about divorce though, so get it over with. It'll only get tougher for you as time goes on, and knowing that you want to divorce will probably put you on edge with her a lot easier.

She always gets horrible headaches in social situations... I think it might be psychological though, a way she can escape any social situation. You're right about the depression, btw. She is on antidepressants.


Speaking of medications, keep in mind that they DRASTICALLY alter who you are, and your behavior. I really hate medications.....They really have life altering effects and can be severely negative. However the opposite can be ture. It puts some in a robotic blissful state

I have heard enuff.......boot her to the curb and when you get one that makes you feel completed ,you will look back and wonder why you denied yourself happiness for soo long.

She may just straight up have issues man :sad: Really sad about the place we live in. The world is fucking cruel as hell. However it sounds like the medication is improving how she was compared to before.

Dont be surprised if she changes her mind about the divorce. Mood swings are tricky

Then yeah I don't think you'll be able to help her at all, sadly enough. If you end up divorcing her and all that, don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault; it's just a sad story.

Seriously get rid of her.  from what you have told me your bright want to do things, and shes a crack(WoW) addict wo doesnt want to do anything.

When you start thinking of all the possibilities of meeting a new person it can really be uplifting.  Meet someone at your school  You already know there atleast motivated enough to go to college, and thats a good start.

Divorce, go on the hunt.  I guarantee once you find a nice girl you will be wondering why you were even dealing with it the last three years.  If you are fighting like that now, you will be fighting forever.  Or you both will resent eachtother and jsut hold it all in.  It wont get any better.  I know this, from experience and things I have seen.  Tell her mom, and her reletives about her conditions.  How she is acting and everything.  That way they will understand why you divorced her and help her through it.  It also helps when they all dont resent you for doing it.  Then they will also be on your side kinda, when she talks to them about how shes gonna try to take your dog out of spite, or anything like that they will try to talk her out of it.  Its the best thing you can do.

Its your life, and you have a right to the pursuit of happiness.

i have never heard of a girl wanting to play WOW instead of go out on a DATE!:rofl: and anyways i remember begging me ex to stop playing that game for a couple hours and watch a movie with me ! haha. anyways HAPPY VALENTINES day every one!! :inlove: maybe shroomery can be my valentine. shroomery is always here for me! haha. i went out on a "valentines date" last night but tonight I am working and probably gonna come post on here do the usual l n c smoke some bowls drink some wine and pass out :grin: unless i feel like a valentine dmt trip . . . probably going to save the little i have left for another day! well i hope you guys have a good valentines day! :heart:
