not me directly, but i played a show at a seedy club last month in tokyo.
i use a sampler and synth, a few minutes into it this guy walks in with what looked like a dombek or something similar and started pounding away. he was great, added a human dimension to my normally industrial noiz.
it was a good night, or morning i guess.
try it, find some electronic musicians and play with them, what is trance but modern tribal music?
am doing another show in november, hope this guy will be there, he also played the jews harp, one strange instrument.

We organise drum circles all the time here.
We go down to the beach with 30 or so ppl and drum around a fire.
I have 3 Djembes.

We also play psy-trance with live drumming.

/me nods.

We do a lot of mideast themed dum circules at the SCA events I go to. I play a sitar, not drum. Dancers love it.
