Underground Drum 'n' Bass
    #6501522 -

Recently obtained an Oink pass and my my, i've been rather busy. Being a fan of the "Hospital Mix" from Hospital Records I went looking for some drum n bass to dance my ass of to. Anyone heard of Timecode records? Awesome mixes, found one called Broken. Featuring artists such as Phyx, Electroboii, Tone Deaf Junkies and a South-African act called Artifakt. I strongly recommend anyone into this scene to hunt this down or contact me. Other recent loves are UK based Calyx and Dundee based Pangea (<<Brilliant, see for yourself click here). All of the aforementioned are great to dance to, but i'm hungry for more. Anyone recommend me any label samplers or artists? Looking for dark edgy contemporary drum n bass, I can't get enough of this stuff.

Labels I recommend:
Timecode, Hospital, Black Sun and Moving Shadow

Artists:
Cyantific, Artifakt, Pangea, Calyx, Phyx and Electroboii

Barcode Recordings is the sister label for Renegade Hardware.

Barcode Recordings has a compilation called "Us Against The World." Definitely check it out.

TeeBee is a great one for dark techstep/neurofunk shit
Tech Itch and Limewax do hard as fuck dirty dirty industrial dnb
Noisia are on Calyx/TeeBee mixes all the time, they do some stuff with Black Sun Empire as well... Try and find the album Cruel and Unusual by BSE or Teebee's album the Legacy. I think someone else mentioned Dogs on Acid - they have lots of free mixes.

Bad Company are good too, maybe not as techy and gritty as you're interested in but tough and good nonetheless. DJ Friction is pretty tight, and yeah someone said Cyantific already but I have to give my support for that recommendation! Get his album Ghetto Blaster! Also if you're interested in jazzier, kinda liquid DnB get the Shy FX and T-Power album Diary of a Digital Soundboy, it's brilliant!

Oh yes - Breakbeat Kaos records also
