ummm...i think i froze my cakes

well...last night i left my window open, and i have some jars that are about 50% colonized...and it got really really cold in my room because of the open window...and i looked at my jars and they were freezing...and i could see the water on the inside of them frozen...so i put them under a bright/hot light for about 2 hours and when i looked at them later they looked really dry...and i opened the lid for some reason and closed it again...and after a few min of opening he jars and closing them i started seeing alot of moisture inside the jars....and so i figured i was ok...but today i looked at them again and they look dry again...the light they were under was pretty hot....do you non newbs think my jars are going to be ok? :confused:

Only time will tell. Shit, how in the hell did you sleep in the room where your jars froze? You must be one hardy Mutha F*cka.

Oh, I see. Well what kind of parent are you, leaving your kids to nearly freeze to death. Anyways, I don't think that the freezing did that much damage, but the opening of the jars may have been your downfall, the best thing you can do is just don't mess with them anymore, and make sure they don't freeze again.

ive opened my jars once before to take the tinfoil off and put the real lids on, that was about a week ago, and theve been fine since then....im just worried about the freezing and drying out thing

Damnit when you grow shrooms you become a parent! I agree that the freezing wasn't as bad as the opening of the lid.
