Found Mushrooms in Garden

A friend of mine who used to grow mushrooms indoors would always dump the contents of his bins in his garden after they seemed exhausted. A few days ago he was mowing his lawn when he noticed a big bouquet of mushrooms growing from the side of his garden. They look very similar to the ones he would grow indoors, only slightly hardier than the ones he was able to cultivate. The mushrooms were growing from the soil, an area enriched with grass clippings and other composted plant matter. The gills are a tannish color, much like those he grew inside and look exactly like those he grew inside. The caps and stems are a few inches long, like those he grew inside. The inside of the stem is white and fibrous like those he grew inside as well and the stems have the same thickness as those he grew inside. Since the shrooms were growing in somewhat of a bouquet, they were somewhat crunched together, distorting their cap shapes to ovals, however many were circular. The caps are a light tannish golden color. He is currently taking spore prints, which he will have me post pics of here soon. They bruise a blue color, much like those he grew indoors. The mushrooms have that unmistakeable mushroom smell that the ones he grew indoors did. Any advice or information will be much appreciated. Thanks!

One more thing. My friend lives in the midwest area. He has never seen any mushrooms growing in the area where he found these. He has seen mushrooms growing in other parts of his yard, however they were obviously not the kinds he grew indoors.
