Vegetable garden mushrooms

Went out for a stroll around the property today, after a nice night of steady rain, and I found these mushrooms growing in the vegetable garden. I'm sure they're not active, but I was interested to see if anyone would try their hand at identifying them. The only other information I can give about the soil of the garden is that it has horse manure spread across the surface. I've taken two photos that you can see here (sorry they're not the best for identification):
First picture (close up) Second picture (a few of it's buddies)
Both the cap and the stem are around 4cm in length (roughly 2 inches), and the stem appears to be hollow. The mushroom bruises a darker brown colour, and the spore print is brown. I'm not quite sure how to describe the smell, but it certainly isn't unpleasant, nor distinctive. It's also not very strong. Just smells like a mushroom, really.
Out of interest, is anyone else here from around the Sydney area? We've had a nice amount of rain, I'd be interested to hear about anyone's finds. I was thinking I might go for a walk around some surrounding cow/horse paddocks, see if I can find anything else of interest, or at least worth taking pictures of. I also thought it would be nice to find someone to go hunting with sometime. Anyway, I look forward to seeing if anyone can identify this one. Keeping in mind, Sydney = NSW, Australia.
Cheers!

My guess would be that it is a Galerina ... I could be wrong.
I DO know that its not of any use to you. Not active, not edible!

I think I agree with Mr_Mushrooms on this one. Those are pretty close to Agrocybe pediades.
If you're looking for edible or active species those brown spore prints like these have are a bad sign. There are a number of dangerously poisonous mushrooms with spore prints which are brownish to rusty colored. And they are notoriously difficult to tell apart.
Nice description and photos. Welcome aboard!
Happy mushrooming!

Certainly not Galerina - as the Australian varieties still ahve that pronounced veil annular ring and thinner more distant gills. I dont actually have any information on Agrocybes but im sure the Hidden Forest website will ahve some info on them, or a similar species in New Zealand. Im in Australia, as is Magicrooms, Ferret, Mushymay, Zhukov/ruskifile, aussieshroomhead and a few others. For sights in Sydney pm Magicrooms - you guys get Ps.Sungaeruginosa (Australiana and Eucalypta var.) on rotting woods and Ps.Tasmaniana on kangeroo dung.

Yeah, I was just looking at the pictures of Galerina on the web and in my books and I can see that...
My first response was pretty much a guess...

Its always good to guess that its poisonous before guessing that its edible. Otherwise you could spend days on a toilet at best.
